Yes, the beaches are still one of the best things to do in Cape Cod in winter. You won’t be swimming, but winter beach walks create a special, charming atmosphere.
There’s something about the quiet, the cold air, and the sound of the waves that makes it worth bundling up. The beaches of Cape Cod are wide open, and the perfect spots to watch the winter surf.
We recommend visiting Coast Guard Beach in Eastham. This beach is famous for seal-watching. Another favorite of ours is the peaceful Mayflower Beach in Dennis.
