Crazy World Tour. What better name such an iconic hard rock band could have been given to their last music tour. It gives the perfect overview of what you should expect when booking a Scorpions Band concert ticket. It’s also the perfect opportunity for the tireless Scorpions group members to say goodbye with a show filled with energy, sharing and passion.
Scorpions Band History
This German hard rock band was formed in 1964 by Rudolf Schenker. The Scorpions music genre has ranged from hard rock to heavy metal, but also rock power ballads. We can’t even count all the Scorpions Music Albums : Animal Magnetism (1980), Blackout (1982), Love at First Sting (1984), Best of Rockers ‘n’ Ballads (1989)… The band members have almost all changed with time but the music is still the same. Scorpions celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015.
Scorpions Music Group : Intergenerational Music Love
As a huge music lover, I grew up in a family where music has always been present. I learned to live with it as a guide, partner and answer to all kinds of situations. This being said, I am really thankful that my dad made us discover really different music universes. From The Police to Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Genesis, Depeche Mode, Michael Jackson and of course Scorpions the group ! So, when my mom told me that they were doing a last tour, I could not resist the temptation to hear Scorpions songs live.
Scorpions Music Live
You wonder if the Scorpions 2018 show is still as crazy as it could’ve been in their early years ? The answer is YES. And you have to see it with your own eyes. From the moment the huge curtain falls to the final song and ovation, you won’t have a single minute of rest. The band gave the tone of the gig at the very first minute when they started to play “Going Out With a Band” with sparkles in their eyes. More than 30 years after they released the hard rock single “Rock You Like a Hurricane” or the famous ballad Scorpions Still Loving You, the crowd still knows them by heart. Their success is timeless : they would release a new album, it would go straight in the first places of the best albums of 2018.
The mind blowing guitar solos of Matthias Jabs and Pawel Maciwoda, the unreal drummer (extra-terrestrial) Mikkey Dee and the inimitable voice of the lead singer Klaus Meine will take you out of this world for a 1h45 magical set. From Big Cities Night, Delicate Dance, to Coast to Coast… We even had the chance to witness a 70s’ medley of Top of the Bill, Streamrock Fever, Speedy’s Coming and Catch Your Train.
Scorpions Band : Fans Interactions
Interacting with the crowd between old and new songs, making eye contact with everybody, the Scorpions music band knows perfectly how to keep the audience entertained. They made history with Scorpions Wind of Change, that the audience sang in harmony with Klaus Meine.
During Scorpions best songs, Mikkey Dee threw drumsticks at the crowd and Matthias and Pawel threw mediators. Our team got some mediators and the drumstick Mikkey played with during the gig ! And by played, I mean madly played.
In fact, we witnessed the craziest drum solo, in the air. Mister Dee literally did a 6 minutes passionate set without taking a breath. He almost didn’t leave the stage from the beginning to the end of the concert. You’ll say, he was the legendary drummer of Motörhead for years after all. Yeah, true. Scorpions even honoured Mikkey’s roots by covering Overkill.
Loved by the old generation and conquering the young generation with success, their music surely marked the spirits. Thank you Scorpions. For your madness show. This one was for the books.
